Mariah Carey Apologizes After Memorial

Mariah Carey, like so many of us went through a range of emotions at Michael Jackson’s memorial, but she had it tougher than you or I, as she had to perform as well. After the memorial service, Carey went on to her Twitter so that she could Apologizes for her performance.

NBC Los Angeles reports that the Diva wrote, “Just recovering from the day. Still filled w/sadness as we listen to KJLH in LA (Stevie Wonder’s radio station) paying tribute to MJ.” She added that trying to sing was impossible, as she was keeping herself from crying.

She also apologized for not being able to pull herself together, as she admitted to being choked up when she saw Jackson’s casket in front of her. She did end on a positive not though saying, “He inspired with his timeless music. He will be forever in our hearts.”

Mariah Carey's New Album "OBSESSED"

Mariah has just confirmed via her Twitter that the first single from her "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel" album will be "Obsessed". The swagga soaked track was written by The-Dream, who was also responsible for her number one smash hit "Touch My Body". Earlier this week a Def Jam A&R rep revealed a few lines from the song, including "I'm a press conference, you're a conversation". The single will premiere on radio next Tuesday and rumour has it that it's a subtle diss to Eminem.

"Seriously, this is one of my favorite songs ever." Tweeted the singer "I love the whole album. I'm completely immersed in it. I can't wait for you to hear it."


Mariah Carey has taken to her Twitter once again to reveal some brand new details about her upcoming single "Obsessed" which serve as the lead from the divas twelfth studio album "Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel".

"So 'Obsessed' is an uptempo fun summer record." Tweeted the star

"We were gonna go w/the ballad 1st but don't worry, its coming. I tried to make something for all who love Butterfly, and even older albums, but "Obsessed" has to come out 1st, asap!! Its different for me, but clearly, its SO me!"

"Memoirs Of An Imperfect Angel" currently has a tentative release date of September 18th.
