Actress Katherine Heigl may well be known for her role in the TV medical show “Grey’s Anatomy,” but she has also starred in the movie “27 Dresses” and now she has a lead role in the new romantic comedy “The Ugly Truth,” that is due for release on the 24th July.

According to readytobeat.com, the movie sees Katherine star as show producer Abby Richter, who becomes involved in a series of tests by her chauvinistic correspondent Mike, who is played by Gerard Butler, to prove his relationship theories.

The movie is directed by Robert Luketic and also stars Bree Turner, Cheryl Hines and Bonnie Somerville.
