Apple iPhone OS 3.0 Release

Apple is scheduled to roll-out the latest version of the iPhone OS today. The new iPhone OS 3.0 will pack features that have been verily awaited by Apple’s software-hungry crowd.

This update includes some features which have been available over a number of other phones, including voice recording, buying and renting TV shows over the air, and multimedia messaging (AT&T is scheduled to allow multimedia messaging in the summer).

Apple also includes the availability of a landscape-oriented keyboard, stereo Bluetooth and a new feature called Find My Phone.

Current iPhone owners can get the update over iTunes for free, while iPod Touch owners will be set back US$9.95.
